Can we chaat? This hot dog blends chef's Pakistani heritage with Chicago upbringing

BROOKLYN -- Summer is hot dog season, but one shop is cooking them up like you've never seen before.

It blends the chef's heritage - with a staple we all know and love. Chef Pervaiz Shallwani, who is also an award-winning journalist, recently got his first brick-and-mortar location, inside Time Out Market in Brooklyn.

His version of the hot dog, which he christened the Chaat Dog, blends his Pakistani heritage with a staple of American comfort food.
