Authorities identify man shot and killed near Porterville

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Tulare County Sheriff's Office has identified a man shot to death near Porterville on Friday morning.

Deputies say Nelso Martinez, 25, was part of a gardening crew that was doing some work outside a home on Springville and Success.

That's when two men approached, and at least one of them opened fire with a high-powered gun. Detectives are still searching for the suspects.
