Woman suffers major injuries in Merced hit and run

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are searching for a car connected to a hit and run investigation in Merced.

The crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday on G Street and Yosemite Avenue. Police found a woman in the roadway with major injuries to her lower body.

A witness at the scene said they saw a silver Honda driving northbound on G Street hit her and keep going.

The victim was taken to a Modesto area hospital.
