FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Despite the Fresno State Bulldogs' loss to the USC Trojans, many fans are proudly wearing their red and blue and already thinking about the next big game -- at home.
The home opener against Nebraska is just two weeks away and it's already sold out. Local business owners tell Action News they're preparing for the highly anticipated kickoff.
Alexis Franco and her friends are freshmen at Fresno State, so getting ready for the first home game takes weeks of preparation.
"I'm trying to build my closet with Fresno State stuff because I don't have much stuff," said Franco.
They're not the only fans itching to cheer their home team in Fresno. You'll find Bulldogs in the baby section. "Start them young, hopefully she can grow up to be a Bulldog," said Anthony Aguilar.
You'll also find Bulldogs in the hat section, the sweatshirt section, pretty much anywhere in this store.
"I know a lot of people are excited about Nebraska. It's currently sold out. A lot of people have been waiting a long time for this home game against them," said Abby Bashaw Montarbo.
At the Dog House Grill, managers say the outside patio is already reserved for Nebraska alumni -- a game that'll more than likely have this hot spot at capacity. The football season is encouraging more than just team spirit.
