
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A fight between two unhoused men ended with one being stabbed and the other arrested in southeast Fresno.
Police were called to the area of Kings Canyon Road and Phillip Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
As officers were patrolling the area, they found the two men at two separate locations.
Investigators say the two men, who are in their 30s, got into a fight for an unknown reason, leading to the suspect stabbing the victim on his arm with a pocket knife.
The suspect was identified and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The victim is expected to recover.
The identities of both men have not been released.
Parts of Phillips Avenue have been temporarily shut down as investigators work to gather evidence at the initial scene.
