Kerry Mannix
Kerry was born and raised on Long Island in New York and spent much of her childhood balancing island life with city life. Although she will always call the East Coast home, she has strong family ties to Fresno. Her fiancé's family has lived in Central California for generations, and in her time here so far, she has grown to care immensely for the community and its people.
Before moving to Fresno, Kerry worked as a reporter, anchor and producer at ABC's affiliate station in El Paso, Texas. While there, she got the unique experience of reporting on stories in Texas, New Mexico and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. She worked there during several surges in immigration under U.S. presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump and was one of the reporters selected to cover Biden's 2023 border visit.
Kerry graduated from Pace University in New York in 2022, where she received a bachelor's degree in digital journalism. During her time there, she worked as an on-air reporter for LMC Media in Mamaroneck, a print reporter for the school's newspaper, 'The Pace Chronicle' and single-handedly launched a podcast for the university, 'Setter Spotlight,' which highlighted the achievements of its students and faculty.
When she's not working, Kerry loves spending time with her fiancé and their two dogs, along with his family. She enjoys traveling back home and to new places and attending Masses at local Catholic churches to meet people from different parishes.
