Fresno, Calif. The retail locations at Fresno's River Park and Fashion Fair Mall, the Sierra Vista Mall location in Clovis and the store in Visalia are all scheduled to shut down this Sunday.

There was not much left inside the store. It's been stripped down to the bare bones by deal hunters during the liquidation.

Several other Gottschalks stores closed their doors last month and this weekend, this store meets the same fate.

Before the Manchester Mall Gottschalks closed June 28th shoppers took advantage of the going out of business specials. Clothing, rugs and fixtures rolled out the doors for next to nothing.

The Fresno-based retailer filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, after more than 100-years in the Central Valley. The liquidation sales that followed are now coming to a close.

Parting employees are saying good-bye with style, while trying to find new jobs in a tough economy. In April the corporate office shut down, leaving 250 employees out of work. The Gottschalks in Merced, Hanford and Oakhurst closed their doors for good last month.

This weekend marks the end of a Valley institution. Two retailers are taking over some of the locations: Forever 21 in Hanford and Fashion Fair and Macy's in Visalia and River Park.
