OAKLAND, CA

"Taste of Denmark" on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland is officially open for business.

It's in the same location as "Neldam's Danish Bakery," which was owned by the Neldam family for 81 years, but the bakery faced financial problems, so 12 former employees formed a co-op with the building's owner.

Now, they own a percentage of the business.
