Investigators say the suspect walked into this Carl's Jr. on McKinley and Gateway around 10:30 p.m. Friday night and demanded money. An employee working at the drive-though alerted a customer behind the order-window that the restaurant was being robbed and said to call police.
An officer happened to be less than a mile away and was able to make it to the Carl's Jr. in time to arrest the man in the parking lot.
"The credit here goes to the employee of the business and the samaritan who was able to contact us to get us started here to address the issue," Lt. Tom Row said.
No one was injured in the robbery. Investigators are now trying to figure out if the man in custody is tied to other robberies in the area.
