FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Despite the wet weather, a massive number of trees are still suffering from the impacts of the drought.

The Fresno County Board of Supervisors voted to continue the state of emergency declared by Governor Brown because of the impact on trees and forests.

Millions of trees in the mountains of Fresno County and along the entire Sierra range are dead or dying. The emergency declaration allows for state funds in helping to remove the trees and to fight the forest fires expected next summer.
