FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Seven people, including three from out of state, have been arrested and are facing serious drug charges after Fresno County sheriff's deputies busted a pot farm. It happened at a location that investigators say is "historic" and known for its problems with marijuana cultivation.
It was a sheriff's helicopter that spotted the grow near Auberry. When deputies searched the property, they found more than 1,000 plants, which they say is far outside the state guidelines. They also found packing and shipping materials. Deputies say they're concerned about the amount of water that is needed to sustain such a farm.
All 7 people face felony marijuana cultivation and possession charges.
