1 killed, 1 hospitalized following crash in Kings County, CHP says

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly head-on crash in Kings County.

It happened just after 3 pm Thursday on Highway 41 near York Avenue.

Investigators say two cars heading in opposite directions crashed head-on.

The driver of one car died at the scene.

The other driver was taken by helicopter to the hospital with major injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
