1 person taken to the hospital following shooting in central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A person has been taken to the hospital following a shooting in central Fresno.

Police say the shooting happened Wednesday night in the area of Fresno Street and Belmont Avenue.

Investigators say the victim was later found a few blocks from where the reported shooting occurred.

The victim was taken to the hospital and their current condition is unknown.

No suspect information is available at this time.
