Over 70 veterans part of 32nd Central Valley Honor Flight

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Over 70 from nine counties across the Valley will be taking part in the trip of a lifetime.

Monday morning will mark the 32nd Central Valley Honor Flight.

Sixty-eight men and five women who served in the US Armed Forces will be taking the trip to Washington, D.C.

The veterans' years of service span from 1951 to 2005.

The group will be visiting the monuments created in their honor, such as the Korean, Cold War and Vietnam Memorials, just to name a few.

The flight will also have two sets of married veteran couples on the flight.

The veterans will be gathering Monday morning at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

A ceremony will take place for the veterans before their flight leaves for DC just after 8 am.

They'll make their return this Wednesday to the Fresno Airport at 6 pm, where they will be greeted with a special welcome home procession.

The public is welcome to attend the procession, and is asked to arrive about an hour before the flight returns to Fresno.
