Central High School students Skype with French superstar singer Kayna Samet

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Students at a Fresno high school got a break from the routine this morning for a unique learning opportunity.

French classes at Central High School got a chance to chat with a French superstar via Skype. Kayna Samet got connected with the students after one of the French teachers reached out to her via Facebook.

Mr. Donagy asked her if she would chat with the students as a way to help them learn her language, and get to know her better. So, one at a time, they took turns asking her questions about her career and personal life -- all in French of course!

Students say they were excited about the opportunity. Some even showed up with signs!

Kayna Samet says she is looking to break into the American market with the release of her next album next year. And students at Central High are hoping she plans a visit to Fresno if she makes it out this way.
