2 arrested in connection to deadly hit-and-run in Clovis, police say

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man who was hit and killed by a car in Clovis has been identified as 23-year-old Joshua Hatfield.

The Clovis Police Department says they arrested 35-year-old Tracy Slocum and 35-year-old Latray Magano in connection to the hit-and-run.

It happened after 12:30 am Wednesday on Willow at Shaw Avenue.

Police say an SUV was northbound on Willow with a green light when it hit Hatfield while he was crossing the street with a scooter.

Authorities tried pulling the SUV over but say someone else got in the driver's seat and sped off. They were later arrested.

Police say Slocum was the initial driver of the SUV.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail for felony hit-and-run.
