LOS ANGELES -- A new Disney Jr. series is stepping into the spotlight with a debut that feels straight out of a fairytale.

Disney+ and Disney Jr. celebrated the launch of Sofia's Enchanted Breakfast, a whimsical event held in Los Angeles.

Families were welcomed into an enchanted morning filled with themed breakfast treats and hands-on activities designed for kids to dive into the magic.

One of the standout experiences was crown decorating, giving children the chance to design their own royal headpieces and step into royalty for the day.

Guests also enjoyed appearances from the cast of the new series, including Ariel Winter, Kai Harris, Darcy Rose Byrnes, and Yonas Kbreab, among others.

Winter spoke with On The Red Carpet about what it means to be part of the Disney princess legacy.

"As a little girl you look at the Disney princesses and you go "oh my gosh, that's something I'm going to remember forever," they imprint on you," she said.

"And so to know that I am one of them, it's crazy. It's something that you always think about, it weighs on you and it's amazing."

Series creator Craig Gerber also joined the celebration and shared his joy at seeing the world of Sofia come to life for fans. He was especially delighted after a special royal guest made her entrance.

Sofia the First was there in-person for meet-and-greet photo moments!

"It's really nice to work so hard on creating a character and creating a world that kids want to be in," Gerber said.

"That energy and excitement, if you see it translated in the real world, you think to yourself, 'Yeah, we did it.'"

The new series continues the story from Sofia the First, following Sofia as she begins her journey at Charmswell School for Royal Magic.

Fans will also spot a familiar face in the premiere, with Rapunzel making a guest appearance in the episode.

"Sofia the First: Royal Magic" premieres May 25 on Disney Jr. and streams next day on Disney+.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Disney+, Disney Jr. and this ABC station.
