Driver killed, 2 injured after crash on Highway 190 near Porterville

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A crash near Porterville left a driver dead and two others injured.

The crash happened along Highway 190 and Westwood Road around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The California Highway Patrol says the driver did not stop at the stop sign and crashed into construction concrete on the highway.

The driver was killed and two others in the car were taken to a hospital with major injuries.

Caltrans reported the collision caused both directions of the highway to shut down.

CHP is investigating whether alcohol was a factor.
