VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Academy of Country Music's New Artist of the Year was in the South Valley on Saturday -- headlining a free music festival.
JugFest kicked off around 5 p.m. at Plaza Park in Visalia. The outdoor concert featured acoustic performances by Jamie Lynn Spears, John King, Frankie Ballard and Colin Raye. And after the sun went down, Justin Moore took the stage.
Before the show, Action News spoke with Moore. He says he loves playing this type of festival, and hopes to come back to the Valley more often.
"There's just a different energy around festivals. It seems to be more of a party atmosphere, which is always good when you're talking about music and in particular the style of music we play. It's a blast," said Moore. "This area's always been great to us. The radio station has always been great to us, and the fans have always been awesome. So, hopefully we'll make it a point of emphasis to get out here more frequently after this."
Moore will join Miranda Lambert's tour later this year. He'll be back in Northern California this August.
