MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A special honor under the Friday Night Lights for a Madera football player who died in a crash last week.

Skydivers floated down from the sky at the Madera versus Madera South football game Friday night.

In their hands, the number 17 jersey of Rafael Barragan Donan.

The skydivers presented his jersey to the boy's family to honor the Torres High School student.

"There's a lot of things going on in the world that are challenging and are challenging for all of us, but it made me realize we still believe in each other and we still have respect for each other and can honor each other," Madera South High School Teacher Andrea Devine said.

Rafael was a sophomore and known for being adventurous, loving football and riding dirt bikes.
