Man hospitalized following shooting near Fresno State, police say

FRESNO, Calif. -- A man is in the hospital following a shooting near Fresno State on Saturday night.
The Fresno Police Department responded to an apartment complex near Bulldog Lane and Ninth Street in Northeast Fresno around 10:30 p.m.
Police say the victim was shot several times in the upper body.
Officials also say the shooting was not related to the Fresno State football game.
Police have not released any information about a suspect.
This is an ongoing investigation.
