Madera woman killed in head-on crash in Madera County, CHP says

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Action News is learning new details about a deadly head-on crash that happened Thursday morning in Madera.

The highway patrol says a Ford Explorer was heading north on Road 400 approaching River Road, when the driver, a 61-year-old Madera woman, crossed into oncoming traffic hitting a Ford F-350.

The driver of the explorer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger in the Explorer and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
