Man arrested for homicide following shooting that killed woman in Los Banos, police say
LOS BANOS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has been arrested following a shooting that left one woman dead in Los Banos early Sunday morning.
According to Los Banos police, just after midnight, officers were sent to a home east of Los Banos Junior High School on Edward Street, where they found a woman with a gunshot wound.
Officers tried to give medical aid to the woman, but she died at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
37-year-old Joseph Sawnson was taken into custody for homicide.
The gun used in the shooting was found.
Investigators say that the incident was a result of domestic violence.
