FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The driver charged in a Fresno hit-and-run crash that killed a 10-year-old boy in 2021 has been found guilty.
On Wednesday, a Fresno County jury found Raymond Jay Celaya guilty on all counts, including felony hit-and-run and felony vehicular manslaughter.
The crash happened four years ago, when 10-year-old Angel Hernandez was hit while he and his family were walking in the intersection of Friant and Fort Washington near Woodward Park.
Police say Celaya ran a red light and then drove off after hitting Hernandez.
Celaya was caught later that day.
Sentencing is set for October.
