Man stabbed, hospitalized after road rage incident in Central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has been hospitalized after being stabbed in a road rage incident in Central Fresno, police say.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, took out a knife and stabbed the 50-year-old victim in the chest while they were fighting in the area of Blackstone and Dakota avenues just after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The suspect then took off and the victim followed him to the area of Shield and West avenues.

That is when officers arrived and arrested the suspect.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to live.

Officers are still investigating what led up to the road rage incident and the stabbing.
