Man hit and killed by vehicle in central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a car in central Fresno.

It happened after 7 pm Sunday on Blackstone south of Clinton.

Police say a man in his 60s was crossing east on Blackstone and not in a crosswalk.

He went into the northbound lanes and was hit by an SUV.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was a woman in her 40s, and she's cooperating with police.

Police say there's no evidence or sign of intoxication.
