Man hospitalized after being hit by car in central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is in the hospital after being hit by a car in central Fresno late Saturday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. near Dakota and Blackstone avenues.

Police say a man and an 8-year-old child were crossing the road when the man was hit by a car.

The man was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. The child was not injured.

The driver remained at the scene and police say alcohol or drugs were not factors in this crash.
