Motorcyclist hit by semi-truck in Visalia, police say

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is in the hospital after an early-morning crash in Visalia.

Police were called out to the crash involving a motorcyclist and a semi-truck just before 6:30 am Monday.

Authorities say the semi-truck was going north through a green light on Plaza Drive when a motorcyclist going west on Riggin Avenue ran a red light.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured and is cooperating with police.

The motorcyclist was taken to Kaweah Health for treatment.
