Motorcyclist identified after being killed in crash in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities have identified the motorcycle rider who died in a Fresno County crash near Minkler early Thursday morning.

The rider is identified as 47-year-old Francisco Fonseca Razo of Reedley.

The California Highway Patrol says the head-on-collision happened around 6 a.m. on Reed Avenue north of Annadale Avenue.

Officers say a Lexus traveling south on Reed Avenue tried to pass a vehicle by entering the north lanes.

The Lexus crashed head-on with Razo going north on Reed Avenue.

He died at the scene.

The driver of the Lexus was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.

Officers say alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
