New travel center opens at Tesoro Viejo in Madera County

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- If you're traveling, there's a new spot to fill up, shop and stretch your legs in Madera County.

The Yosemite Travel Center at Tesoro Viejo is now open.

Action News was there for the big ribbon-cutting held Thursday morning.

The center is located on the corner of Highway 41 and Tesoro Viejo Boulevard.

You can find a gas station, convenience store and Jamba Juice while on your way to your destination.

Owner Peter Singh also looked at what would benefit the neighbors nearby.

"We also saw a need for a car wash," he said. "There is not one out here in this area. People out here have to go to Fresno to get a car wash. so added that in there too."

Singh says the center is offering free car washes, dollar smoothies and store specials.
