MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- A plane has safely landed at Merced Regional Airport after a report of smoke in the cockpit, Merced Fire says.
Fire crews responded to a call around 7:40 a.m. Thursday, about a plane emergency.
When they arrived, they discovered that a corporate-owned King 200 plane had landed, with most of the smoke from the cockpit gone.
The plane seats up to 10 people.
The cause of the smoke is not known.
