Shot fired inside Northeast Fresno restaurant during fight, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating after a shot was fired inside a Northeast Fresno restaurant during a fight.

Officers responded to El 701 Mariscos Y Sushi near Fashion Fair Mall after reports of a shooting inside the restaurant.

According to police, a physical fight broke out inside the business. During the altercation, one person drew a firearm and fired a single shot into the ground.

The individual who fired the weapon fled the scene before officers arrived. Detectives are working to identify the shooter.

No one was injured and no one was struck by the bullet.
