FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is in custody after police say he crashed into a home in southwest Fresno during a chase that he escaped multiple times.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The video above is from a previous broadcast and will be updated.

It all started in the parking lot of an O'Reilly's at California and Lee around 10 pm Thursday when police tried making contact with those in the car.

Police say Kyle Draper drove off and left the scene while they tried to detain a passenger. Officers lost him in the area of Merced and Pottle.

The vehicle was then found with no one inside at Tuolumne and Stephens. Police say Draper ran away and was nearly detained, but he escaped and left again in his car.

A successful PIT maneuver was done on Draper's car, but he regained control.

Draper then crashed into a home on O'Neill and Mococ, where he was finally taken into custody.

He was sent to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment before being booked into the Fresno County Jail.

During a search, police found multiple drugs, EBT cards and over $2,000 in cash.

No one inside the home was injured in the crash.
