Three teens arrested in attempted carjacking in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three teenagers have been arrested on charges of attempted carjacking.

The crime happened on August 29th.

The victim told police she was unloading her car on East Poplar Avenue in Porterville when three men confronted her.

She said one of them showed a firearm and demanded the keys to her car but she was able to activate the panic alarm on her key fob and the teens ran away.

Over the next two months, investigators tracked down and arrested the suspects.

One has been identified as 18-year-old Anthony Aguilar of Porterville.

The two others arrested are both 17 years old and because they are minors, they are not being identified.
