UC Merced preparing for record-breaking commencement ceremonies

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Final preparations are being made ahead of UC Merced's record-breaking commencement.

Across three ceremonies, this weekend's celebration will be the largest in university history, with more than 1,600 students participating.

This year's celebrations are especially meaningful as the university awards its 1,000th Ph.D.

Commencement ceremonies will be held Friday through Sunday on the university's recreation field.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are encouraged to arrive early.
