Water main break prompts lane closures on Shaw Avenue in northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are redirecting traffic at Shaw and Valentine avenues in Northwest Fresno due to a water main break.

Officers say they are concerned the break could develop into a sinkhole.

The traffic disruption has reduced Shaw Avenue to one lane just east of Valentine Avenue.

Drivers are being redirected as crews monitor the situation.
