The Special Olympics Northern California is quickly approaching, and ahead of the big event, law enforcement agencies are supporting the athletes by taking part in the torch run.
Monday, the Summer Olympics had their opening ceremony night, and this week winners will be announced.
"Let us remember how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat," the former president said.
With a torch in hand and waving flags, Kings County law enforcement carried the Special Olympic flame into Chukchansi Park Tuesday morning. The end of their run marked the beginning of another in Fresno County.
The Hoover High School pool filled up with about 150 athletes from five counties competing in the regional Special Olympics meet.
The event featured 19 teams from 4 different counties.
