FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Parlier man is dead after a suspected DUI crash in Fresno County. The coroner has identified him as 30-year-old Javier Hernandez.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. Sunday in the area of Englehart and Dinuba avenues; that's east of Reedley. The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck -- 24-year-old Rene Resendez -- was intoxicated, ran a stop sign and crashed into a four-door sedan.

Hernandez was a passenger in that truck. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, was ejected and died at the scene.

Four people in the car were injured.

Resendez is expected to be booked into the Fresno County Jail once he's released from the hospital.
