FRESNO, Calif.

A jury convicted Alvin Dalton, 55, in August for killing Danetta Henry and wounding her teen aged children, Dezmond and Dezhane, during a dispute between the two families in March.

Dalton claimed self defense. He said the family attacked him, and he used a gun because he feared for his life.

Dezhane, 15, was shot twice in the stomach -- her brother Dezmond was shot once.
