DMV offices in the Valley get self-service terminals

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Customers visiting the California Department of Motor Vehicles in the Valley can avoid long lines. That's thanks to a time-saving self-service terminal.

The DMV announced 15 field offices recently received the terminals, including Fresno, Hanford, Madera, Merced and Porterville.

The terminals allow you to do things like renew your registration, get tags and file for a certificate of non-operation.

The machine accepts cash, electronic checks and credit or debit card payments.
