Fresno Pacific University names new president

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Officials at Fresno Pacific University have selected the man who will replace the university's departing president.

The Board of Trustees unanimously appointed Dr. Richard Kriegbaum as 12th president of the university. Kriegbaum served as president once before, from 1984 to 1997.

University Provost Stephen Varvis will assume a larger role in the day-to-day operations of the main campus and regional centers.

Outgoing President Pete Menjares announced that he would be leaving the university and submitted his resignation last week.
