30,000 expected to attend Mariposa County Fair

MARIPOSA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Thousands of people are expected to attend this year's Mariposa County Fair. It opened on Friday and runs through Labor Day.

Part of Friday's fun included a magic show, and a beer garden is available for the adults to enjoy. The fair will also have plenty of rides, music and food. It's been running now for seven decades in Mariposa.

"This year there's a big celebration of an anniversary for Yosemite park, and that's in our back door. So it was only fitting to recognize her along with the celebration and tie it all back into Mariposa and our fair," said Tom Williams of the Mariposa Fair Board of Directors.

30,000 people are expected to attend this year.
