EXETER, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Exeter Police Department took action on Monday to save a cat.

The small black cat got inside a locked area of the city's water system at Schroth Park and had no way out.

A member of the Tulare County Fire Department was able to lower an Exeter officer far enough to rescue the cat!

The cat immediately went out and played with the community after being rescued.
