FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno State students in need of food or hygiene products have a new, expanded place to turn to. The Student Cupboard has moved to a much bigger location in the Industrial Technology building.
Students can load up on everything from free canned goods to cereal and fresh fruit. The project was started to limit food insecurity among the student body. The new space resembles a store.
"No more starving college students; that's not going to happen. We hear so many things from students. They are just so excited to know that we have this support on campus," project coordinator Jessica Medina said.
The Student Cupboard relies on donations and also purchases food from the Community Food Bank. It is open every day except Saturday.
