FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- The Mountain West Conference announced Fresno State junior outfielder Jordan Luplow won player of the year honors. It's an award voted on by the league's coaches.
Luplow set a conference record for juniors with a .470 batting average in league games. The Buchanan grad had a league high 54 hits which included 14 doubles and 29 RBI. That was good for first in doubles and second in RBI.
Luplow is the first player of the year selection for Fresno State since Tommy Mendonca was named the 2009 WAC player of the year.
