Man with machete arrested in the Tower District

FRESNO, Calif. -- A machete wielding man was taken into custody Monday in Fresno's Tower District.

Just before 8 a.m., people in the area of Olive Avenue and Wishon Avenue reported a man on a bike was swinging a machete. He hacked several bushes and trees before police were able to safely detain the main.

It's not yet known what caused the violent outburst. No one was hurt, but the behavior caused alarm.
