Hollywood movie to tell Sully Sullenberger's 'Miracle on the Hudson' story

DANVILLE, Calif. -- Two Hollywood legends will put the historic story of Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger on the big screen.

The Danville native famously saved the lives of 155 people by landing an unpowered US Airways plane on the Hudson River in New York after a bird strike.

Clint Eastwood is set to direct and Garry Marshall will produce the adaptation of Sullenberger's book.

On Tuesday, Sullenberger called it a dream team.

Eastwood last directed the film "American Sniper," and according to Variety, was interested in spotlighting another American hero.
