FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- ABC30 is launching a new hashtag to make it easier for you to see, shoot and share your photos and videos with Action News. No matter what social media platform you prefer, you can become one of our ABC30 Insiders.
Monday morning's downpour was captured on cameras all over Central California -- from rain in Reedley to snow in Sequoia National Park to blue skies after the storm -- all posted by our viewers to social media, using #ABC30Insider.
"Social media helps so much to be able to get those reports, from all over, from every corner," said Action News meteorologist Shelby Latino. "It helps us tell the story to the viewers better about what's going on in their neighborhoods when they're able to share with us. This new hashtag just makes it even easier for us to share that information and collect that information."
Even if you don't have an ABC30 Skycam at your disposal to see if it's raining outside, just a quick check of #ABC30Insider will let you know whether you need an umbrella before heading outside.
Breaking news like a house fire Monday afternoon in West Fresno is another great opportunity to see it, shoot it and share it. Fresno firefighters used the hashtag to show us the aftermath of the flames, where most cameras normally can't go.
At the demolition of the old Future Ford showroom in Clovis, dozens of employees recorded the action on their phones. Tagging it #ABC30Insider would bring the action to the rest of the Action News audience.
No matter where you are, and whether your prefer Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, ABC30 and our insiders have got your covered.
