FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Maria Padilla of Fresno became Fresno's latest millionaire after she claimed her winning Powerball ticket on Friday.

Padilla purchased her winning ticket at the Quick N-EZ market on Shaw near Highway 99 in Northwest Fresno. She matched five of the winning numbers -- only missing the Powerball number.

"I always buy tickets at that store. I had a feeling the store was a winner," Padilla told the California Lottery.

Padilla purchased one ticket and used a combination of random numbers and birthdays to choose her winning numbers.

Padilla said she doesn't usually play Powerball, but since the jackpot was $228.5 million, she figured she would give it a try.

When asked what she plans to do with the money, Padilla replied, "I am going to invest it."

One ticket purchased in San Mateo was the only ticket in the country to match all six numbers of 7, 14, 24, 41, 21, and the Powerball number 26 back on September 24, winning the jackpot of $228.5 million.
