NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (KFSN) -- Authorities are offering a $6,000 reward in hopes of catching an animal abuse suspect.
A dog named Caitlyn was found this week in South Carolina with electrical tape wrapped tightly around her muzzle. It turns out her original owners had sold her on Monday for $10, but she showed up back at their house on Wednesday like this.
Veterinarians initially listed her in critical condition. But her condition has improved, and doctors did a laser surgery in hopes of saving most of her tongue.
The person responsible for this abuse could face up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine if caught and convicted.
